Dr. Andrew Stringer Announced as New Global Health Initiative Director

Andrew Stringer has been appointed director of the global health education programs at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Stringer has a special appointment as the director of NC State’s Global Health Initiative through leadership in the education arena. The Global Health Initiative, one of OIA’s units, is an opportunity for NC State students to study, conduct research, and become involved in outreach activities that seek to improve the health and well-being of animals and people worldwide.

Dr. Stringer, who joins the College’s Department of Population Health and Pathobiology as a clinical assistant professor, will develop comprehensive classroom and experiential learning activities that will provide students the opportunity to become involved in, and contribute to, important global public and animal health areas.
